Privacy policy · LG e-Invoice EU

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy explains which data the LG e-Invoice EU app for Shopify (the “app”) processes. The app issues the store’s invoices and credit notes as PDF files with embedded XML (ZUGFeRD / Factur-X) and as XRechnung XML files, and stores them so the merchant and their customers can download them.

For the data of the store’s customers, the merchant is the controller and we act as a processor on the merchant’s behalf, only to issue and keep their invoices.

2. Customer data

To issue an invoice or credit note, the app reads the order from Shopify and puts on the document the data an invoice must contain: the customer’s name, billing and shipping address, email, and, for company invoices, the company name, VAT number and buyer reference (for example a Leitweg-ID); plus the products, prices, taxes, discounts and payment method of the order.

The issued invoices (PDF and XML) are stored in the app’s database so they can be downloaded from the app, from the signed link saved on the order and in the period export. The optional storefront block for company invoices saves the tax details as attributes of the cart, which Shopify stores with the order; it sets no cookies and tracks no one. If the store uses the LG VIES app, the VAT number it validated is read from the order or customer metafields.

3. Data about the merchant

4. Purpose, legal basis and retention

Data is used solely to provide the app, on the basis of the contract with the merchant and their instructions. Invoices are kept while the app is installed, as the merchant’s archive; the merchant remains responsible for the statutory retention of their invoices and can download them at any time with the ZIP export. When a customer’s data is erased (customers/redact), documents that were not issued are deleted, while issued invoices are kept for the merchant because the law requires invoices to be retained. When the app is uninstalled, Shopify notifies us and 48 hours later all the store’s data, including the invoices, is deleted (shop/redact): export your invoices before uninstalling.

5. Hosting and recipients

The app and its data are hosted in the European Union. The only recipient is Shopify, the platform the store runs on. The app does not send invoices to any tax authority or third-party network. Data is never sold, shared for commercial purposes or used to train artificial intelligence models.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to appsupport@lineagrafica.es or to the data protection officer atdpo@lbo-abogados.com. Customers of a store should contact the store first, as it is the controller of their data. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Changes

If the processing changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top amended.
